Healthy-ish Means You Don't Have to be Perfect

My approach to healthy living is the same as the 80/20 rule. Whatever you do 80% of the time is good enough! We are all Works-in-Progress and we are bound to get frustrated and off track along our health journey. I myself am not perfect, but I am blessed to be doing what I love: helping others live healthier lives that reflect who they truly are. 


I've wasted a lot of time beating myself up whenever I was "bad", and I've noticed that other people tend to do the same. When you fall off track is exactly when you need to dig deep to make it to the finish line. I'm here to encourage you, and to challenge any limiting beliefs you may have about yourself. I will hold you accountable to your goals. You may not always like what I have to say, but I'll stay committed to your success even when you get tired. So don't sweat it. Life happens. Healthy-ish gives you the room to live life on YOUR terms. Just know that through it all, I'll be your biggest cheerleader. I'll offer effective strategies that will consistently yield the results you want, if you apply them consistently.

Just as every new skill requires learning, we'll build your toolkit of weight loss strategies, so that you can use the right tool at the right time. Those moment-to-moment choices will either keep you moving forward or sabotage your efforts. Remember that this process can be emotional. Your reasons for gaining weight might (usually) have to do with your life feeling out of your control, and with having to put everyone else's needs before your own. Building new patterns that have you knowing how to make self-care a priority is a critical and often emotional first step.
