POWERPause because Midlife Wellness, Beauty, and Wisdom Never Get Old!

Healthy Aging? We GOT this because we still GOT it!

Welcome to PowerPAUSE, a sanctuary for women over 50 who know that despite the sag and the cellulite, the hot flashes, and the cracking joints, healthy aging is truly a blessing. POWERPause was created for women who are redefining what it means to grow older with grace, guts, a good sense of humor and la killer shade of ip gloss. So whether you're navigating menopause, reclaiming your strength, rediscovering your beauty, or reimagining what your "second act" will look like, this is your space to feel seen, supported and celebrated exactly as you are! 


Inspired by the powerful shift that happens in midlife (yes including menopause), POWERPause seeks to amplify the voices of women who want to preserve their health and well-being without adding yet another thing to their to-do list.  Sometimes all you need to do is pause long enough to feel your own heart beating, or listen to the sound of your breath to hear God's voice guiding you in the right direction.  


I experienced menopause at age 41, right after I gave birth to my son. At the time I wanted another child, so I was pretty devastated. But I took a  pause from working as a Teacher to raise my son as a Stay-at-Home Mom. That's  when I figured out that I although I loved my students, I wanted to empower older women to be physically healthier, mentally stronger and more spiritually connected to themselves. Now back at work as a Science teacher, I'm ready to share my passions for writing, wellness and what I call "Grandma's wisdom" through my blog. 


Each week I will post about 1 of 4 basic principles that promote wellness especially as we age: FiITNESS (How to make it a habit.) FIBER, (How to eat more fruits and veggies regardless of whether you eat meat or not). FOCUS (How to connect deeply with yourself) and FUN (How to create community that lifts you up.)  My mission is to partner with and support women over 50 to stay healthy, radiant and magnetic  as they age with confidence, vitality and purpose. Because thriving in midlife is not only possible it's powerful. I hope you'll take this journey with me, and actively engage with the content I share, so that we all get healthier together. We GOT this because we still GOT it!
